Reese's is no stranger to innovation and now there's one more flavor for fans of their classic peanut butter cups to try.
The Hershey Company has announced that they are introducing the Reese's Caramel Big Cup, adding a layer of caramel to their original peanut butter cup in a "big cup" format for the first time.
The new candy will be available for customers nationwide to try starting next Friday, Nov. 17 in standard and king size packages.
"Next to peanut butter, caramel is the most requested combination with chocolate – and while Reese'sPeanut Butter Cups are already perfect, ask, and you shall receive," said Emily Stover, Reese's senior associate brand manager.
Is dark chocolate healthy?:Yes, and it has more health benefits than you think.
Reese's responds to fans asking for caramel creation
According to a Change.org petition started in 2021 called 'Bring Back Reese's Peanut Butter Caramel Cups', Reese's used to make peanut butter cups with caramel but discontinued the product in 2006. The petition, started by a user named Dakota Adams, asked for Hershey to bring back the peanut butter cups with caramel.
"I think Reese's could make some real money with this, if properly thought out and planned. Along with this, I think everyone could use a brand new rendition on caramel, chocolatey, peanut butter goodness," Adams wrote in the description for the petition.
Fans are in for a treat as the new Reese's Caramel Big Cup hits store shelves next week.
